About Me

Kathy Reid’s forays into the world of drama writing started when she moved to Egypt for her husband's job in the gas industry. She wrote two pantomimes there, and staged one for parents and some pupils at the British international school in a Cairo suburb. 

Kathy went on to write and direct Jack and the Beanstalk  for a local drama group when back in the UK. She has since written prize-winning plays for festival competitions  at the Progress Theatre, Reading and at South Hill Park, Bracknell. Kathy wrote and directed her full length drama End of Time which was very well-received when performed by Twyford Drama in 2012. As well as several short plays she has written 'Persuaded by Austen' a full length drama based around Jane Austen's 'Persuasion', and her latest play 'Fight Them For The Beeches' which premiered in May 2023.
